CULTURE COURSES
- Sandro Botticelli and the <<Made in Italy>> 24 hours
This course aims to explain the origin and secrets of “Made in Italy”, which begins in particular with Botticelli, a former goldsmith turned painter, who embodies visual harmony as a guarantee of quality. Starting from the Renaissance, in the context of the Florentine economy, the course will analyze how the process of conceiving the “product” has followed an aesthetic, lasting and innovative approach, and how these principles have become the foundations of “Made in Italy”.

After studying Modern Literature, Maria Eugenia Giochi specialized in teaching Italian language and culture to foreigners, with a degree from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice.
- Italian UNESCO sites: a journey through culture and language 24 hours
A series of twelve lessons dedicated to the wonders of Italy, recognized by UNESCO as world heritage sites. A journey through the different eras and beauties of Italy: from ancient Greece to the Roman era, from the Middle Ages to the modern age. The course is designed to combine cultural study with language learning: each lesson is an immersion in the charm and history of an Italian site, enriched by educational activities. Participants will be able to improve their language skills, particularly in comprehension and oral production in Italian, acquiring a vocabulary specific to art and culture, also perfecting their language skills in these contexts

Graduated in Archaeology at the University of Tuscia and specialized in Roman and Greek archaeology, Francesca Giancotta also has the DILS-PG certificate for teaching Italian to foreign adults from the University of Perugia, and has been teaching Italian as a second language since 2011.
- Productive Activities and Industrial Archaeology in Italy: Between Heritage and Modernity 16 hours
Fifty years after the economic boom of the 1960s, many companies are trying to preserve their identity and history by creating corporate archives and museums. Former industrial buildings, often converted into multifunctional spaces such as museums or universities, contribute to revitalizing architectural creativity. Italy, with its rich artistic heritage, also has a significant industrial history, in particular through important industrial archaeology. This course explores current urban transformations, broadening the notion of heritage to include productive heritage.

Graduated in History of Art and Urban Planning at the University of Roma Tre and in Urban Heritage at the Université du Québec à Montréal, she also studied in France and England. In addition, she has been working for more than 10 years in Montreal as a teacher of Italian language and culture and as a journalist.
