Paolo Giordano, thanks to the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal, will participate in Montreal in events dedicated by the Festival Metropolis bleu to contemporary Italian literature.

Official opening of the 26th edition of the Blue Metropolis Festival, on the main topic of “Dreams and Utopias”. As the Blue Metropolis Festival turns the page on a quarter-century and begins a new one, we might ask: what will our dreams be made of, tomorrow? And those of the day after tomorrow?

Inner and outer landscapes in a changing world
You can explore every corner of the planet, and you can question every aspect of your life. At the end of the day, you’ll find yourself along the way. A walk through the inner and outer landscapes of two writers whose compasses are literature, science and daydreams: the Italian novelist Paolo Giordano (Tasmania) and the British explorer, nature-writer and essayist Robert MacFarlane (Underland).

Meeting with Italian novelist Paolo Giordano
Turin-born Italian novelist Paolo Giordano, who also holds a doctorate in theoretical physics, made his literary debut with The Solitude of Prime Numbers (2008), which won the Strega Award, was adapted for the cinema and sold millions of copies. With Tasmania, his 6th novel, he continues to question the concerns of our times. What kind of reality awaits us?
