24th Edition | Montreal International Children’s Film Festival (FIFEM)

The Institute is pleased to announce that this year there will be two Italian-produced short films which, thanks to the support of the IIC, will participate in the 24th edition of FIFEM (Festival International du Film pour Enfants Montréal).

Sogni al campo [It.Fr., 2020, 9 min] by Mara Cerri and Magda Guidi (Short film in competition)
A boy searches for his cat along a river but cannot find it. On the verge of death, the animal moved away from everything to find the necessary intimacy. The child arrives at the gates of time, a place where the dead disappear and the living let them go. The child is afraid, he enters a forest of symbols and memories. Meanwhile he grows up. His childhood illusions dissolve until they blend with the landscape.

Da Sola [It. 2019, 4 min] by Christoph Brehme
Sometimes we want to defend ourselves, we want to show that we are capable, we want to prove it to ourselves and to others. But asking for help is also good and is not necessarily a sign of weakness: together it is easier, the result is sometimes better and above all there is much more time to play and have fun.

Tickets and fares
The 24th edition of the FIFEM will be held from February 27th to March 7th 2021, on the new webcasting platform accessible throughout Canada.
