Tempo Reale Electroacoustic Ensemble

As part of the “À l’heure de l’Italie” project, on March 14th, 2023 at 6 pm (Église catholique Sainte-Madeleine 750 Av. Outremont, Outremont), the Florentine group Tempo Reale Electroacoustic Ensemble, made up of 12 musicians, will play together with the organist Luzio Altobelli.

Ana Dall’Ara-Majek – theremin, Charlotte Layec – bass clarinet, Amy Grainger – voice, Pierre-Luc Lecours – synthesizer, Alexis Langevin-Tetrault – synthesizer, Kevin Gironnay – electric guitar, Luzio Altobelli – accordion and organ, Julie Houle – tuba, Émilie Fortin – trumpet, Kalun Leung – trombone, Bailey Wantuch – violin, Andrea Gozzi – electric guitar and artistic direction.

A specific sound action, a new version of the composition “In a large open space” by the American pioneer and composer James Tenney. The work, characterized by a continuous flow of sound stratifications, is orchestrated for an ensemble of twelve electric instruments located in the space, allowing spectators a free and moving use of the sound mass.

Voluntary contribution at the end of the concert.

Exploring spaces through music: this is one of the main objectives of Tempo Reale Electroacoustic Ensemble, which has always operated in unconventional places, designing and producing specific soundtracks. The organist Luzio Altobelli, born in Montréal in 1980, will join the ensemble.
