”Retour en Italie” is a new film cycle, born from a collaboration between the Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal and Cinéma du Musée, dedicated to the discovery of the new production of Italian cinema.
This selection aims to highlight different approaches to the 7th art through the cultural, social and geographical diversity of Italy. For this new cycle you will discover films made by 3 renowed young filmakers, Corrado Ceron, Niccolò Falsetti and Giulia Louise Steigerwalt, who will introduce to the public today’s tendences of Italian cinema.
On the other hand, the famous filmaker Nanni Moretti will close the program with his documentary “Santiago, Italia” where he recounts the 1973 coup d’état in Chile, which put an end to Salvador Allende’s democratic government.

The screenings will be presented in the original language, subtitled in French and English and will take place at the Cinéma du Musée (1379-A Rue Sherbrooke O., Montreal).
