Montreal Comic Arts Festival 13th edition

For the 13th year, the Montreal Comic Arts Festival presents a rich and diverse program with over 60 free activities.

The FBDM will be held on Saint-Denis Street, from Friday May 24th to Sunday May 26th 2024. The street will be pedestrian only for the occasion between Gilford and Roy streets to welcome more than 300 artists and 168 exhibitors.

There will be visits from artists from all over Europe, including Lorenzo Palloni, one of the most influential and appreciated illustrators of new Italian comics.

Lorenzo Palloni is a comics author born in Arezzo, Italy, in 1987. Author of numerous graphic novels and webcomics, founder of the Mammaiuto comics collective and of the magazine La Revue Dessinée Italia, he has won several international awards for his screenplays. In addition to writing comics, he teaches storytelling in several Italian schools. He has already published, with Sarbacane, The Corner (2014), L’île (2016), La Louve (2017) and two volumes of Gravity Level (2020). Burn Baby Burn is his fifth comic published by Sarbacane; followed by The Flying Fortress in 2024.

The Montreal BD Festival (FBDM) is the only free, bilingual event in Montreal, whose primary mandate is to raise awareness of comics and the artists who create them. This unmissable comic book event attracted more than 82,000 people in 2023.
