Istituto Luce Cinecittà adheres to the national campaign #IoRestoaCasa, promoted by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (Mibact), to bring a great offer of digital content to the homes of all Italians during the days of emergency . Thousands of hours of entertainment and knowledge available to everyone, free of charge, on all the websites of Luce-Cinecittà, now that spectators and visitors have no opportunity to access places of culture.
Starting with the contents of the portal archivioluce.com, one of the largest visual archives in Italy and Europe, which with its approximately 80,000 videos and more than 400,000 online photographs visible from all devices, can become a useful company tool in these difficult days for everyone. In addition to the videos in the catalog, the editorial staff of the archive regularly prepares new content highlighting events and characters. A new section, called Cinemobile, will focus on a series of virtual trips to Italy and the world made between the late 1920s and early 1930s. Most of these are silent documentaries, soundtracked by the editorial staff of the Archive, many of which are completely unpublished and presented here for the first time.
