In a fascinating dialogue between body and memory, Gli Anni (The Years) reveals the intimacy of memories through a subtle and poignant solo.
Italian artist Marco D’Agostin explores the passage of time in a universe where movements become the messengers of a raw and delicate story. Danced “as if in the shadow of a novel,” deeply inspired by the literature of Virginia Woolf and Annie Ernaux, this powerful solo mixes fluidity and dislocation: the slowness of the gestures is juxtaposed with a nostalgic pop-rock playlist, enigmatic movements emanate from the performer’s disarmed body.
Without words, Marta Ciappina’s vibrant gestures tell an intimate and universal story, where each movement reveals buried emotions. Gli Anni is a dance of memories, an emotional journey through past and present, which touches on the unspeakable.
