International Day of Commemoration of Holocaust Victims

To mark the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, the Holocaust Memorial Centre in Montreal will host a screening of the movie Denial and discussion with Robert Jan van Pelt. A recognized expert on architecture and the Holocaust, van Pelt witnessed the trial of Deborah Lipstadt and the Holocaust denier David Irving, which is the subject of Denial.

Based on the book, Denial: Holocaust History on Trial, the film Denial describes the battle of Deborah E. Lipstadt to defend the historical truth against David Irving, who filed a defamation action against her after she declared him Holocaust denialist .

Rachel Weisz, container of an Oscar, plays the role of Deborah E. Lipstadt, and Timothy Spall, a BAFTA nominee the role of David Irving.
