“Giordano” Theatrical reading

Giordano Bruno (1548-1600), heretic philosopher and visionary traveler, complex character, champion of truth and martyr. In truth he saw a value in itself, to be defended beyond any principle of reward; this led him to refuse invitations from the Inquisition to retract his doctrines, and finally to the stake.
