On the occasion of his visit to Quebec the Italian comic artist, Piero Macola will talk about his work as an illustrator and will take the opportunity to sign his albums published by Futuropolis. A great opportunity to celebrate a Made in Italy National Day.

Piero Macola, comic book author and illustrator, was born in 1976 in Venice and has lived in France for twenty years. His stories always take inspiration from the observation of reality and try to tell some aspects of the world around us. Since 2014 he has collaborated with the French publisher Futuropolis/Gallimard, for which he has published the graphic novels Les nuisibles; Kérosène; Le tirailleur and participated in some collective volumes. In Italy his books have been published by Coconino Press (Fuori bordo, Sola andata) and Oblomov (Gli svelati). He has created illustrations for magazines, posters, covers and children’s books, including Zanna Bianca by Jack London and Noi ragazzi della libertà by Gad Lerner and Laura Gnocchi. He collaborates with the main Italian publishers and with magazines such as Internazionale and Le Monde Diplomatique.
