This event is part of the outcomes of a joint project between the École de musique de l’Université de Sherbrooke and the Libera Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze (LABA).
Between October 2025 and May 2026, four LABA students — Maria Chiara Aguti, Alessandro Arese Visconti, Marianna Calabria, and Sarah Ottaiano — and four students from the Université de Sherbrooke — Maxym Côté, Maxime Lantagne, Alexandre Roche, and Marianne St-Pierre — collaborated remotely on the creation of three audiovisual short films, working respectively on their production and realization, and on the composition of their soundtracks.
The event will feature screenings of the three short films — Tenerezza, Il tempo del mare, and What lasts — created by the students, followed by a roundtable discussion with the participants, moderated by journalist Vittoria Zorfini (CFMB 1280) and Andrea Gozzi, professor at the Université de Sherbrooke.

The École de musique de l’Université de Sherbrooke is a leading Canadian institution for education and research in musical composition, sound design, and audio technologies. The project aims to strengthen international cooperation between students and faculty from the two institutions while fostering artistic and cultural dialogue between Italy and Québec.
