“Bassano x Montreal” Artistic exchanges

Immerse yourself in the world of Frédérique Rodier (Quebec) and Giorgia Lolli (Italy), artists in residence as part of the Bassano | Montreal exchange. Their artistic encounter gives rise to a sensitive research where dance dialogues with the landscape, visual arts, music, video, and circus. Together, they explore the permeability of the body and its capacity to allow itself to be traversed, transformed, and set in motion by its surroundings. A presentation shared with the Bassano community, to discover a process in constant listening and resonance.

October 2nd 2026 ➜ Time & venue to be confirmed – Free admission

The artistic exchanges offer choreographers and dancers a unique opportunity to further develop their practice, immerse themselves in a new creative environment, and foster dialogue between two vibrant artistic scenes.

Giorgia Lolli presents BODY SWEATS, a choreographic exploration of the body as a space of exertion, pleasure, and radicalism. The project blends dance, poetry, and physical routines, inspired by Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven. On stage, references intersect—from ballet to pop, from Italian Dadaumpa to fitness—to rewrite the codes of movement from a feminist and queer perspective. She is also interested in transmission and collective forms, inventing ways to create and share where physicality, experimentation, and joy converge

The Bassano/Quebec residency exchange project is the result of a long-standing collaboration between the CSC Centro per la Scena Contemporanea and Circuit-est in Montreal, with the support of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Italian Cultural Institute – Montreal.
