In the occasion of the XX Week of the Italian Language in the World, dedicated to "Italian between words and images: graffiti, illustrations, comics", the Italian Cultural Institute of Montréal, under the patronage of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, and the Consulate General of Italy in Montreal are pleased to present the webinar entitled "Beauties of Italy in illustrations and comics".

Wednesday, October 21st 2020, 3 pm EST
Registration required

The event also celebrates the "Second Day of the Italian Language Student", in which the student becomes the protagonist of the same program, according to the guidelines of language teaching, thus retaining the role of "first actor" of their learning process.

The webinar, entitled "Beauties of Italy in illustrations and comics" and coordinated by Professor Chiara Menorello, presents two conferences:

1. Marlì Cominato (Brazil), “The lightness and grace of Italian women in illustrations and comics”. The conference retraces the creative work of some young Italian artists and in particular of Ilaria Urbinati, Claudia Petrazzi, Agnese Innocente, Mirka Andolfo.

2. Carolina Artavia (Costa Rica), "The five things that made me fall in love with Italy". The young speaker, after some travel and study experiences in Italy, reveals, with images and captions, what struck her most about the beautiful country.
