Oliver Kemeid is artistic director at Quat’sous and Ianik Marcil is an economist. In an informal environment they discuss together about the play “Chapitres de la Chute” by Stefano Massini and about his interest in the capitalist American roots. Massini is a novelist and a playwright very keen on the analysis of the contemporary economy and all its related mechanisms, ambitions and powers. His works are frequently played by the greatest European theatres.
This event is organized on the margin of the play Chapitres de la Chute, played by Quat’Sous this autumn and the release of the french version of La chute des frères Lehman, from which the play derives and that appeared at Éditions Globe.

Stefano Massini is an autor and a director. He was born in 1975 in Florence. During the Premio Riccione 2005 he has been awarded with the Price Pier Vittorio tondelli by a unanimous jury. This price is the highest recognition of contemporary drama. In 2005 he started writing the first part of “Trittico delle Gabbie” (Triptyque des Cages), finished in 2009. In 2007 he wrote the play “Donna non rieducabile” (Femme non-rééducable). It is a dramatic memorandum on Anna Politkovskaïa, played in all the greatest European theatres and transformed into a film by Felipe Cappa in 2009. In 2012 he wrote Chapitres de la chute, Lehman Brothers’ Saga. This play was found by the Reading Committe of the Rond-Point Theatre and created for the first time by Arnaud Meunier in the Saint-Étienne Comedy in October 2013. In 2014, it won the Grand Prix syndicat de la critique. Stefano Massini has translated some plays by William Shakespeare and he has turned some romances and stories into plays. Pier Vittorio Tondelli Price’s jury headed by Franco Quadri has defined his style “crystal-clear, tense, rare, highly expressive and capable of depicting characters’ torments with dramatic ferocity“. He has been director of the Piccolo Teatro in Milan since 2015.
