The Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal is pleased to present the concert “Vivaldi, mist and light”, by Les Idées Heureuses.
Wednesday, October 6, 7:30pm
Salle Bourgie
1339, rue Sherbrooke West
This chamber music concert with nine musicians showcases the soft and warm tones of rarely heard Italian Baroque instruments – including the small mandolin, the baroque guitar, the viola d’amore and the cello with 5 strings – in the masterful compositions of Antonio Vivaldi. The multiple plucked instruments – mandolin, guitar, lute and theorbo– combined with the luminosity of the Italian harpsichord and the sweetness of the chamber organ, promise to create a moment of great intimacy.
The concert lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes without intermission.
