The Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal and the Scuola Internazionale di Teatro Italiano “Giovanni Grasso” are proud to present “Sovrani – Sovereigns”, summer 2019 Workshop for professional development in the field of Italian language, Opera, and the performing arts.
The workshop is an intensive course of four weeks duration, in which 10-15 selected students will explore the characters, themes, genres and theatrical language of royalty in the Opera and the Italian theater. They will work on some of the most iconic roles Italian Opera and give life to those characters in the final show.
The school and the workshops will be hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute , located in Downtown Montreal (1200, avenue Dr. Penfield – Montréal, Québec, H3A 1A9). The training will take place from May 27 to June 20, from 9:30 to 17:30, and the final staging will take place Thursday, June 20 at the école de musique Vincent-d’Indy.
