The first creation of the Pensée Visible company, Palomar is a paper theater show based on Italo Calvino’s book of the same name. As it follows three of Mr. Palomar’s adventures – Il seno nudo, Il gorilla albino e L’universo come specchio – the company combines the intimacy of paper theater with the Italian writer’s exquisite prose.

The Pensée Visible company was born out of a desire to explore the expressive potential of staged objects and images. Particular attention is paid to the creation of the images in an artisanal way. The research focuses on simple materials while maintaining the complexity and richness of the images. The theater company’s first creation, Palomar, was presented in 2016, and the second creation, PIGS, began in March 2021.
