When we think of Leonardo da Vinci, an emblematic figure of the Renaissance, we think of the Mona Lisa and his inimitable smile, revolutionary inventions, and a personality out of the ordinary in every way. Less is known about his crazy, unrealized project to build a bridge in Istanbul connecting the two sides of the Bosporus, a link between Europe and Asia. An unrealistic dream or a flash of genius?
For this original program, thanks to the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of Montréal, Italian musicians Marco Ferrari, flute, Fabio Accurso, lute, and Marco Beasley, one of the greatest voices to interpret Renaissance music, join solo musicians from Constantinople, under the direction of Kiya Tabassian.
