International Conference “Early Modern ‘Transformissions’” : Linguistic, material, and cultural translation in England and France (c. 1470-1660)

The Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal is pleased to be associated with the international conference “Early Modern ‘Transformissions’” : Linguistic, material, and cultural translation in England and France (c. 1470-1660).

An interdisciplinary, international, and bilingual conference at the Université de Montréal exploring Randall McLeod’s concept of ‘transformission’ – according to which ‘texts are always transformed when transmitted’ – in the context of early modern English and French cultures of translation.

The conference will be held from July 5 to July 7, 2017 at the premises of the University of Montreal.
