The Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal is pleased to present the concert of the Borrkia Big Band group during the 25th Italian Week in Montreal. The performance of the Italian band will take place on August 11th, 2018. Mastro & San Daniele Stage – Free Entrance.
The Borrkia Big Band was created in the autumn of 2010. The idea is to play the Rock’n Roll music of yesteryear with the typical sound of the 50’s, thanks to a complete training of ten elements ready to involve and make the audience dance. With a repertoire full of historical songs and new songs, always in vintage style, the Band immediately begins to make concerts around Tuscany with great success and closing the spring season with a double stop in Germany. This was followed by years full of concerts, in which the band grew up and published the video clip of “Hey Signorina” written and directed by Lorenzo Franchi and produced by the Fattoria Maldestra. The band also wins the regional competition “Bluesacco”, the national competition “Edison change the music” and marks a mini tour of three dates in France. In 2015 the first live album of the band “Live @ Priori” containing 16 tracks played completely live was released for La Fattoria Maldestra, confirming the great national and international success of the Borrkia Big Band.
The band will also be present in Canada on August 10th at the Festival Rythmes du Monde in Chicoutimi and August 12th at Le Gardeur at the Rendez-vous Estival.
