Historian of mentality and trainer, he is co-founder of the Deina association, with which he collaborates in the planning and implementation of memory trips and training courses throughout Europe. He works for the Fondazione Museo Storico del Trentino, in the field of collective and public memory with particular reference to the Italian and European twentieth century. He has to his credit several publications on the relationship between past and present. Luca Sollai is a lecturer in history and Italian studies at the University of Montreal, and a research fellow on Europe at the Center for International Studies and Research at the University of Montreal (CÉRIUM). His research focuses on 20th century Italy (communism and fascism), the Cold War, the Italian community in Montreal, and Italian and European news.
