Nora Moretti, italian writer, illustrator and graphicat at the 30th edition of the Festival bande dessinée francophone de Québec.

The Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal is pleased to announce that this year, Nora Moretti Italian writer, illustrator and graphic, thanks to the support of the Institute, will participate at the 30th edition of the Festival bande dessinée francophone de Québec.

This year presented within 9 days, from April 1st to April 9th, the 30th edition of the Festival de la bande dessinée Francophone Quebec (FBDFQ) will mark its anniversary on a grand scale with an extremely generous and varied programming. The oldest event of its kind in Canada, the FBDFQ will be present in 32 venues in the Capital, hosting exhibitions, shows, screenings and activities associated with the event. On the international side, Grzegorz Rosinski, Lolita Séchan, Étienne Davodeau, Patrick Prugne, Frank Pé, Alex Alice, Nora Moretti, Emmanuel Moynot, Nix and Hergé’s specialist Philippe Goddin are among those present.

Nora Moretti – Born in Venice, Italy, in 1980, Nora studied at the Art School in Venice, then at the International Comic School. At the end of her training, she worked as an illustrator and draftsman on various projects (covers and drawings for magazines and books, comics, animated, websites, interactive games). She published her first comic project MONDOMBRA (Renoir Comics) in 2007. In the same year, her AELIS project won the “Lucca Comics Project Contest” and was published by Panini Comics in 2008. Today, in parallel to her albums, Nora teaches at the BD Venezia Comix School. She met Audrey Alwett at the Festival d’Angoulême in January 2008. Despite the language barrier, the complicity is immediate and they sign with Soleil in the Blackberry PRINCESSE SARA collection, an album adapted from the book THE LITTLE PRINCESS by F. Hogsdon Burnett.
