The Etruscans did not take the initiative to communicate with the supernatural world without serious reasons. The public sphere and the private sphere in Rome were very interested with divination. The public sphere uses three forms of consultation: the divination of auguries, the consultation of sibylline books, the consultation of the internal organs of sacrificed animals (extispicium). This technique, inherited from the Etruscans, is also called haruspicin, because there is a haruspice that observes the organs.

CONCERT MUSIC: Julie Triquet, violinist, Marie-Éve scarfone pianist, excerpts from the carnival of animals, saint-saëns and the apocalypse of animals, vangelis.
