From October 8 to December 20, 2026, the Guido Molinari Foundation presents Klaus Scherübel. Venice 1968: The Biennale of Protest VOL. 30, a research project dedicated to the 34th Venice Biennale of 1968, an edition marked by major protests. That year, Guido Molinari and Ulysse Comtois were the artists exhibiting in the Canadian Pavilion.

Curated by Marie-Eve Beaupré and Yun Wang, the exhibition revisits an edition of the Biennale that took place against an international backdrop of political and social unrest. In 1968, as student and labour movements were shaking countries around the world, the Venice Biennale itself became a site of clashes and protests. Artists and students denounced an institution perceived as a symbol of nationalism, cultural capitalism, and the hierarchies of the art world.

The curators invited artist Klaus Scherübel to create an installation (Period Room) that will allow visitors to rediscover the Canadian Pavilion as it was in 1968.
