The Vesuvius Ensemble present “Quanno nascette Ninno”

Do not miss the opening concert of the 2018 Choralies at the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours. Under the direction of Francesco Pellegrino, Ensemble Vesuvius, one of the few North American music ensembles dedicated to traditional music in southern Italy, performs songs in variants of the Napoletano-Calabrese dialect and is accompanied by typical period instruments in the region, such as battente chitarra, the Ciaramella, the colascione, the mandolino and tamburello.
