The Italian Renaissance produced some of the greatest artistic and literary achievements in European history, but it was also shaped by conspiracies, betrayals, and bloody episodes vividly portrayed in novels, theatrical works, and more recently in television series such as The Borgias. In this conversation, the speakers will explore the darker side of the Renaissance, examining power struggles and the political and religious tensions that marked this iconic period of Italian history.
