In recent years, the world of comics has shown a growing openness to inclusivity, giving space to the representation of diverse minorities, including multiethnic, LGBTQ+, and disability communities. However, works that directly and thoughtfully address themes such as autism and Asperger’s syndrome remain limited, and are often influenced by prejudice and negative stereotypes.
In this context, the work of Pietro Saccà—PhD student, academic assistant, and comic book writer—takes shape through an in-depth analysis of the subject. The study aims to demonstrate how comics can become an effective tool for conveying positive, accessible, and immediate messages.
