On the occasion of the “XIX Week of the Italian Language in the World“, dedicated to “L’italiano sul palcoscenico“, the Institute, under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and the Consulate General of Italy in Montreal are pleased to present the ‘La Piccola Brigata’ theater company, which will stage “Ve vòjo raccondà”, an opera in L’Aquila dialect in two acts, directed by Franco Narducci.

Franco Narducci, director and historical founder of the theater company ‘La Piccola Brigata’, brings to the stage in Montreal for the first time the opera “Ve vòjo raccondà”, animated by actors and interpreters Liliana Biondi (Rosa), Orietta Cardigno (Carmenella, Bbittina, Congetta, Linuccia), Daniela Cerasoli (Minicuccia, Rachele), Franco Narducci (Cesarino, Rafele, Peppe), Giuseppe Narducci (‘Ndonio, Micchele), Mario Narducci (‘Ndonio, Tropea), Isabella Paiola (Rusinella, Stella), Antonello Ranalli (Bignè, Zacchiele, Micchele), Gigliola Salandin (Congetta, Atelaita, Bbttina), Giovanni Sfarra (Rafaele, Micchele), Laura Volpe (Angilina, Preziosa, Maria), Silvia Volpe (Bbicetta, Maria). With music by Claudio Palmisano, the representation also uses Fausto Paglia and Giovanni Sfarra (video and lights), Marco Ponticelli (sound), Eleonora Ponticelli (costumes and makeup) and Luisella Mastrangelo (stage direction).
