The “Places of the Contemporary” online platform, created on the initiative of the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, is the result of a systematic mapping of the places that exhibit, enhance and promote contemporary art, throughout the Italian territory and open to the public, excluding those for commercial purposes. This interactive and constantly updated survey is an important tool that allows everyone – industry professionals or not – to know the vast and heterogeneous panorama of contemporary creativity in Italy.
The platform includes the following types: Art in public spaces, Associations, Collections, Foundations, Foreign Institutes, Museums, Corporate and Business Museums, Parks and Gardens, Exhibition Spaces and Independent Spaces.
