The journey from Italy to Québec, passing through France, in the novel “Errance” by Mattia Scapula (IIC MONTREAL WEBINAR SERIES)

The Italian Institute of Culture of Montreal, in collaboration with the École de langues de l’Université Laval, is pleased to present Mattia Scarpulla’s lecture on her first novel, Errance (Annika Parance Éditeur, 2020). Writer Mattia Scarpulla, responsible for the Italian sector at Laval University, Eleonora Nicolosi, and the director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal, Francesco D’Arelli, will participate in the presentation.

Mattia Scarpulla, of Italian origin, lives in Quebec. He has published three poetic collections, Col fiato (Manni, 2006), Journal des traces (L’Harmattan, 2011), Hallucinations désirées et origines en fuite (L’Harmattan, 2018), a collection of short stories, Préparation au combat (Hashtag, 2019), and a novel, Errance (Annika Parance Éditeur, 2020). He obtained a doctorate in Arts, dance specialty, in France. Today, he is a doctoral candidate in Literary Studies – research and creation component – at Laval University. He organizes body writing workshops and collaborates in the creation of literary shows.
