The filmmaker’s swan song is a fresh take on wandering and coming of age. All his obsessions are here, and the moon is a character that the protagonist, played by Roberto Benigni, listens to with comical eagerness. Another opportunity for Fellini to paint a portrait of his time, particularly its cultural and media landscape.
