The IIC of Montréal offers an additional library service: the possibility of borrowing books in digital format, e-books, present on the MLOL platform. To subscribe to the service just send a request to iicmontreal.biblioteca@esteri.it, indicating your name, surname and e-mail address. You will receive a reply with your credentials and a link to access the service. By clicking on the link you can borrow ebooks! The system allows you to borrow 2 e-books per month. Each loan has a duration of 14 days, at the end of which it will be automatically deactivated. If you have not finished reading your e-book, you can request the loan of the same book as if it were a new loan.

The library of the IIC of Montreal is comprised of some 6000 books of varying genre. Topics range from art, literature, music, philosophy and theatre through to science, politics, history, geography, religion and social science. In addition to all the printed media made available, the Institute is also in possession of an extensive video collection, photographic material, slides and DVD. The library database is continually being upgraded with our regular and ongoing stream of acquisitions including books, local and international periodicals and modern encyclopedias. The updating occurs through the acquisition of recent publications, consignments on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Cultural Activities and Heritage.
Borrowing service
Members and students of the Institute may borrow books for a period not exceeding 30 days, though these may in turn be re-borrowed upon request

Photocopying
Photocopying facilities are available at 10 cents per page.
