ITALIAN INSTITUTE FOR PHILOSOPHICAL STUDIES: Tomaso Montanari, “The first of three meditations. Holy Thursday: all humanity “, Diary of the crisis (13 April 2020)

The prestigious Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies, founded in Naples in 1975 by Enrico Cerulli, Elena Croce, Pietro Piovani, Giovanni Pugliese Carratelli and Gennaro Marotta, began last February 23 with Attilio Scarpellini (Frammenti di diario) to narrate in a Diario della crisi the recent days of our time, starting from some questions: “Is it possible to find the words to express the bewilderment we feel, in this suspension of time crossed by dizzying changes? …”, and so on.

Tomaso Montanari, an illustrious Italian art historian and academic, left his first sign of the Diario della crisi on April 13: a triad of meditations aroused by the request of “Don Giuliano Zattarin (priest who sided with the poor, missionary in Brazil and now parish priest in San Martino di Venezze, in the Polesine) “, who” asked me to write, for his community, three meditations on the Easter Triduum.
