The Italian Culture Institute of Montreal is the best place to learn the language, to keep abreast of contemporary Italian culture, learn the key elements of the great cultural tradition of the peninsula and learn more about tourism opportunities of ‘’Bel Paese’’.

Italian is the fourth most studied language in the world by foreigners. Want to know why? Here is the answer: the Italian culture is nourished by the “dolce lingua”,
which is part of the world heritage, of there lively interest it raises. Considering a trip to Italy? You wish to deepen your knowledge of the language rich in history and culture, and direct descendant of Latin?

The Italian Cultural Institute of Montréal teaches and promotes the Italian language for more than 50 years, offers customized courses and the opportunity to participate in the cultural events organized in the large region of Montreal by the Institute and collaborating cultural institutes. To understand this language, you only have to enroll in a course at the institute, as Dante says so well «gentil del bel paese là dove ‘I sì suona».

Under the authority of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of the international Cooperation, the Institute is officially the Cultural Section of the Consulate General of Italy in Montreal, it is an institution that offers Italian courses, but also a source of information for everything related to Italy, its cultural life and opportunities for tourism. The Institute also sponsors initiatives and exchange activities between cultural institutions in Quebec and Italy that enable better mutual understanding.

The Institute offers 8 levels of 44 hours each once or twice per week, day, and evening or Saturday morning. 22 hours per session for courses in advanced conversation and culture.

Registration fee: 430$ for 44 hours, textbooks are not included. Advanced conversation or culture: 240$ for 22 hours, complementary materials is included.
