Rome, 70s. The young Borghetti family has just moved to one of the many newly built apartments blocks in the city. But the family is no longer as united as before. Clara and Felice are no longer in love, but they are unable to separate. Clara takes refuge from her loneliness and in her three children, especially in Andrea, her eldest. One day he has an asthma and clear crisis takes him to the hospital and we learn that Andrea is really called Adriana and that this is a reason for bitter disputes between the parents.
