“Dante parmi nous” – Exhibition

The Bibliothèque des livres rares et collections spéciales (BLRCS) is pleased to present a new exhibition on the occasion of the seventh centenary of Dante Alighieri’s death.

Entitled “Dante parmi nous“, this exhibition testifies to Dante’s status as an important cultural reference within the university community and, more generally, in Québec society.

The first part, produced under the direction of Professor Gabriele Giannini, director of the Center for Medieval Studies, presents a solid contextualization of the Divine Comedy. The second part, curated in particular by the graduate student Alessio Marziale Peretti, recalls the place occupied by Dante in the Italian imagination.

The exhibition is presented on the 4th floor of the Samuel-Bronfman pavilion, 3000, rue Jean-Brillant.
Until August 1st 2022.
