“Hervé Guibert and the cinema” Cycle – Screening “Teorema” by Pier Paolo Pasolini

Teorema” [It., 1968, 98 min, OVSTF] – A mysterious young man (Terence Stamp) breaks into the life of a rich Milanese family, made up of Paolo (Massimo Girotti), Lucia (Silvana Mangano) and their two children Pietro and Odetta. As they are gathered at the table, a telegram arrives announcing the imminent arrival of a guest. Who knows where a handsome boy comes from, kind, very reserved, deep and captivating gaze, which upsets the normality of the bourgeois habits of the luxurious house surrounded by greenery, shocking all the members of the family one by one.

Hervé Guibert and the cinema” – The writings of Hervé Guibert have marked the world of French letters. One of the first writers to talk about the years of AIDS, he was also a critic, screenwriter, photographer, as well as an attentive spectator of the cinema. This program proposed by Spirale magazine brings together some key cinematographic works that have marked the writer, as well as presenting L’homme blessé, co-scripted with Patrice Chéreau La pudeur ou IMPUDEUR, falling ill the writer’s final work, and Guibert cinéma, a documentary by Anthony Doncque. This cycle will also focus on a reading of his text Les chiens and two round tables dealing respectively with the image and desire in his work.
