Delio Vania Proverbio, PhD in “African Studies” at the University of Naples ‘L’Orientale’ and a scholarship holder for several years at the Italian Institute of Philosophical Studies in Naples, taught “Ethiopian Antiquities” at the University of Udine . Entered the roles of the Vatican Apostolic Library in 2004, he was appointed in 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI Scriptor Orientalis of the same library. Among his many published studies, it is worth noting the recent Studies in historical Graphemics (Vatican City 2019, Studies and Texts 532) and Turcica Vaticana (Vatican City 2018, Studies and Texts 461).
