The richness of Italian also feeds on the abundance of its spoken language, among which the Neapolitan language shines through antiquity, literary, singing and theatrical tradition. The Neapolitan is a living expression of Italian, a dialect that has always trod the stage, that of melody, theater and streets or neighborhoods of everyday life in Naples and its surroundings. The Foja, a Neapolitan rock-folk group, born in 2006, are the most recent novelty of the continuous creative force of Naples. Dario Samson, musician, cartoonist and voice of Foja, often prefers to say that “many Italian songs known abroad are actually Neapolitan, from ‘O’ sole mio ‘to’ Come back to Sorrento ‘. We believe it is a plus, not a less sing in one’s own language. By expressing yourself in the way you know best, you can be true ”.

The Foja is a rock-folk group born in Naples in 2006 and consists of Dario Sansone (voice and guitar), Ennio Frongillo (electric guitar), Giuliano Falcone (bass) and Giovanni Schiattarella (drums). After the first album “Na storia nova” (2011), in November 2013 “Dimane torna ‘o sole” is released, their second album released by Full Heads and produced by Alessandro Graf and Mad Entertainment. “’A malia“, the first single from the album, is in the soundtrack of the animated film “L’arte della felicita“, directed by the same Rak. The film was presented for the first time at the International Film Festival of Venice and has won, among others, the EFA (European Film Award). “’A malia” was nominated for the David di Donatello and the Nastri d’Argento for best original song. On September 14, 2017, “Gatta Cenerentola“, the new animated film by the Mad Entertainment group, former producer of  “L’arte della felicita“, which sees Dario Sansone among the directors, debuts in theaters. The soundtrack includes the song “A chi appartieni“, from the album “‘O treno che va” (2016). The film was highly praised at the 74th International Film Festival of Venice, where he won several awards, he has received, among others, seven nominations at the David di Donatello awards, including one for Best Original Song, winning two.
