European day of languages

To highlight the European Day of Languages, Lisez l’Europe and its partners, with the collaboration of the Centre de langues, the Département de littératures et de langues modernes and the Bureau de valorisation de la langue française et de la Francophonie of the Université de Montréal, invite you to take mini language courses!

Come and learn the basics of Catalan, German, Innu, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Sarde and Spanish.

Friday September 20, 2019 from 5pm to 7pm
Université de Montréal, Carrefour des arts et des sciences, 3150 rue Jean-Brillant, local C-2081
Free admittance

There will be room for 25 students per mini course; we take reservations through journeedeslangues.info. Most mini courses are meant for people with no prior knowledge of the language, others aim to work on a specific aspect of the language in a playful way.

The European Year of Languages 2001, jointly organised by the Council of Europe and the European Union, was successful in involving millions of people across 45 participating countries. Its activities celebrated linguistic diversity in Europe and promoted language learning. Following the success of the Year of Languages, the Council of Europe declared a European Day of Languages to be celebrated on 26th of September each year.

We look forward to seeing you there.
