In Montreal the graffiti by Italian street artist Tellas

More than a hundred graffiti paintings occupy the walls of buildings in Montreal, and the city will soon have another on Fairmount Avenue (21 Fairmount avenue), between Clark and Boul. St. Laurent, by the Italian artist Tellas, who, thanks to the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Montreal, will participate in the 2019 edition of the MU.

From July 22nd to July 30, 2019, we encourage you to take a walk on the avenue to see the artist in action!

Known as Tellas, Fabio Schirru is considered one of the most interesting contemporary artists, among the large number of emerging artists in the street art scene. Born in Cagliari, Tellas has developed in the past few years a quite personal artistic vision and an unusual creative language, as a result of the influence of the harsh sardinian landascape over his non urban aesthetic.

The mission of the MU is to beautify Montreal by creating murals anchored in local communities. The heart of his goal: to create murals to see and experience art every day, to trigger social transformations and to leave a legacy of a real museum of outdoor art in Montreal!

  • In collaboration with: Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Montreal
