In the city of “99 spouts”, a crossroads of cultures and popular traditions, theatrical companies have always proliferated, dedicated to staging dialectal works and in Italian according to an ancient tradition. Among these, the Theatrical Company “La Piccola Brigata” is undoubtedly the most renowned, established in L’Aquila in March 1950 and protagonist of over a hundred theatrical texts by Italian authors performed in Italy and abroad. For the XIX Week of the Italian Language (21-27 October 2019), dedicated to the theme “Italian on the stage“, the Italian Cultural Institute will host the Theater Company “La Piccola Brigata”, which will present a written theater by Franco Narducci and with the participation of Claudio Palmisano. The event will be an opportunity to raise funds to support and promote the cultural activities of the theater company “La Piccola Brigade”, which for a decade has deprived of their theater, destroyed by the 2009 earthquake.
