In Montreal the graffiti by Italian street artist Millo

More than a hundred graffiti paintings occupy the walls of buildings in Montreal, and the city will soon have another on Avenue du Mont-Royal (168 avenue du Mont-Royal Est), between Hôtel-de-Ville street and Bullion, by the Italian artist Millo, who, thanks to the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Montreal, will participate in the 2018 edition of the MU.

From August 30 to September 6, 2018, we encourage you to take a walk on the avenue to see the artist in action!

The inauguration will take place on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 4pm.

The mission of the MU is to beautify Montreal by creating murals anchored in local communities. The heart of his goal: to create murals to see and experience art every day, to trigger social transformations and to leave a legacy of a real museum of outdoor art in Montreal!

Known by everyone as Millo, Francesco Camillo Giorgino is the internationally renowned street artist who creates drawings that stand out for their skilful use of black and white through intersecting lines that incorporate elements of architecture.
Born in 1979, Millo was born in Mesagne, a small town in the province of Brindisi, then moved to Pescara, where he still lives, to get his degree in architecture. His passion for drawing has led him to become an artist and participate in numerous street art festivals. 2014 saw him win the B.Art competition, winning him the chance to paint 13 walls in the city of Turin. His art, however, has not stopped in Italy. His works are scattered throughout Rome, Milan, Bologna, Florence, Paris, London, Luxembourg and Rio de Janeiro, all with common characteristics. An almost exclusive use of black and white, with some rare points of colour, a clean line, murals full of details, which incorporate, as much as possible, the elements of the surrounding architecture.
