2nd Scientific Café of the PKD Foundation: “Understand the genetic, psychological and social implications of a diagnosis”.

The PKD Canada Foundation in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal, the University of Concordia and the University of Montreal, presents the second scientific coffee: Polycystic Renal Disease (PKD): Understanding the genetic, psychological and social implications of a diagnosis.

Join us on Friday 25 May from 18:00 to 20:00 – Free entrance at IRCM – 110, avenue des Pins Ouest, Montreal, QC H2W 1R7 – Paid parking available at the former Hotel-Dieu in front of the IRCM.

Local experts will be present at the meeting to highlight the close reality of the PKD and the strengths of the local community. This Science Café will include short presentations from the perspective of analyzing the genetic, psychological and social implications of a diagnosis of PKD. The topic will be explored in depth through expert reports in the various fields of nephrology, genetics and applied psychology. After the presentation there will be an opportunity to answer questions from the public.
