Scuola Internazionale di Teatro Italiano “Giovanni Grasso” – Advanced Workshop in Italian Acting and Interpretation: Pirandello, 150th anniversary of the birth

From 5 to 22 June 2017, in occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Nobel Prize winner author Luigi Pirandello, the Italian Institute of Culture – Montreal is proud to host the International School for Italian Theatre “Giovanni Grasso” 2017. During their three weeks of training, 15 – 20 selected students will study and work closely with professionals of Italian theatre and literature, improving their skills in language and culture, movement, improvisation, diction, text analysis and interpretation. Training activity will go hand in hand with the preparation and staging of Luigi Pirandello’s play “Questa sera si recita a soggetto” (“Tonight We Improvise,” 1929) at the Casa d’Italia theater, in the heart of Little Italy. The school and the workshops will be hosted by the Italian Institute of Culture, located in Downtown Montreal. The training will take place June 5 to 21 from 9:30 to 17:30, and the final staging will take place Thursday, June 22.
